Meet Our Founder
Shelvin Tan
Shelvin leads Gingervale Consultancy with over 18 years of international experience in property marketing, sales, and advisory. A graduate of the University of Melbourne and a probationary valuer registered with the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM), she brings a rare blend of professional insight, market understanding and local perspective to help Malaysians invest confidently in the UK property market.
She began her career with Henry Butcher and JLL Malaysia, spending her first decade gaining hands-on experience in international project marketing before co-founding and serving as CEO of Red Bean Consultancy, a firm she established and led during the COVID period that earned strong recognition from UK developers. Over the years, she has built an extensive track record representing institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals across Malaysia.
Throughout her career, Shelvin has cultivated a strong client network and successfully marketed projects not only in the United Kingdom, but also across Australia, Tokyo, Singapore, Chicago, New York, Berlin, and Boston. She has been involved in more than 450 international residential launches, including regeneration landmarks such as Woodberry Down, Royal Arsenal Riverside, Battersea Power Station, and White City Living, as well as luxury penthouses in Prime Central London.
Her expertise runs especially deep in the London market, having represented some of the UK’s most reputable developers — Berkeley Group, Taylor Wimpey, Barratt London, Mount Anvil, EcoWorld International, CK Asset Holdings and many more, earning multiple awards for outstanding sales performance.
Recognised as a respected voice in the real estate industry, Shelvin has also been frequently invited to speak at property forums and market outlook sessions organised by bodies like FIABCI Malaysia, UOB Singapore, OCBC Malaysia, and leading UK and Australian developers.
