Shermaine’s passion for property began in the UK, where she earned her Law degree from the University of Reading and completed her professional training at BPP Law School, London. During her studies, she received the Shoosmiths Award for Property Law, a recognition of her early interest and strength in the field.

She began her career in Malaysia as a legal practitioner with Rhiza & Richard, specialising in property and construction disputes, before moving into the corporate world with Itramas, one of Malaysia’s foremost solar EPCC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning) companies. There, she gained hands-on experience in structuring business ventures, project financing, and development, while also being involved in cross-border partnerships and strategic planning. This blend of legal and commercial experience shaped her well-rounded understanding of how businesses grow and operate.

As Director of Business & Legal Affairs at Gingervale Consultancy, Shermaine serves in a consultative role, offering guidance on legal compliance, governance, and business operations. With her background in both law and corporate strategy, she helps strengthen the company’s foundations and ensures that its growth remains thoughtful, structured, and sustainable.
